Karnataka bypolls: BJP Contributes to closing and Chincholi in


BENGALURU: Avinash Umesh Jadhav, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate in Chincholi at Kalaburagi (Gulbarga district) was top with 25,592 votes at the meeting by-polls as against Subhash V Rathod of the Congress who’d uttered in 18,435 votes. The leads were based on the state election authorities at 12.30 pm.

The Congress candidate from Kundgol, kusumavati Channabasappa Shivalli is currently top against Chikkanagoudra Siddanagouda Ishwaragouda of the BJP who’d polled in 35,202 votes with 36,753 votes.

Chincholi contested the Kalaburagi Lok Sabha elections and led to the by-polls following Umesh Jadhav, Avinash’s dad and former Congress legislator, resigned from the party. This year, the by-poll at Kundgol was required by the passing of Karnataka minister and Congress leader C S Shivalli in March.

The Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress coalition that finished a tumultuous one-piece in office on Thursday was under pressure in BJP, which will be convinced of forming the government following the parliamentary outcomes get declared on Thursday.

Allegations have levelled that by luring coalition legislators with cash and assure of ministerial berths, the BJP was attempting to destabilise that the Karnataka government.

A success from the by-polls would reinforce the resolve to create a claim to form the government of the BJP.
